Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific took up residence at the Kyoto International Conference Centre for the last week of May. Designed by architect Sachio Otani, back in the 1950s, the building is like stepping into a timewarp but at the same time feels like it has come straight from the future. The design is stunning with a considered attention to detail. Every corner of the building surprises. Classic 1950s chairs sit next to striking art and stain glass. The Kyoto Protocol was signed here in December 1997.

From May 28-30, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific held its regional FUEL meeting in Kyoto, Japan. FUEL was more than just a conference: it was the spark for the next stage of aggressive growth in Asia.
Everyone at Kyoto felt the energy and spirit of new Ogilvy. We promised that this would be our most collaborative and connected meeting ever. The arrival of social media allowed us to turn it from a conference into a content factory.
View highlights here which include Rory Sutherland, Vice-Chairman Ogilvy & Mather UK, sharing insights on behavioural economics; Miles Young talking about pervasive creativity; Asif Kapadia, the Director of the award-winning documentary Senna giving the back-story behind his unique approach to storytelling ; Will Samson from Contagious Magazine talking about Contagious Thinking and Professor Jonathan Briggs presenting about the transformational effects of digital.
Best wishes,
Paul Heath
